Quebec City, QC
Inspired from Quebec City's romantic atmosphere and its European vibe, me and other creative minds came together to create a wedding editorial. We blended the organic and natural textures of the venue with the gracefulness of simple elements. With this shoot, we wanted to prove that you can achieve elegance with a minimalistic approach. We showcased different stages of a wedding day with a bridal boudoir and followed by portraits, ceremony.
Auberge Saint-Antoine is located in Old Quebec City and it was a perfect location for this editorial. We blended the old wooden materials and textured old walls of the room with the wedding setting. We tried to keep everything within a palette of earthy tones. Melanie (from Foudamour) did an outstanding job to put together all the details. Atelier Carmel's stunning floral arrangements were work of art. La vie est une fête's vintage rentals aligned perfectly with the style we were going for. Specially the wedding ceremony location was so inspirational with all the elements. Cynthia Irani's unique cake designs are so beautiful and I am in love with her style. Seeing her do her magic in front of my eyes were incredible. And she designed three wedding cakes for this editorial. At the end of the day, we wanted to prove that you don't need to follow the wedding standards and create your own wedding. So why not just offer three wedding cakes instead of one, right? The invitation suit and all the paper goods were alone beautiful details that you could stare for a long time. Olivia (Oh Joy Calligraphy) did an amazing job with her calligraphy and drawings. Laurel's hair and make-up for the models were on spot and the timeless dress and the suit completed the look for our models.
An editorial is a lot of work, and it takes many dedicated vendors to put their hearts out to deliver an inspirational wedding like this.
