Romantic Chateau Wedding at Le Château Taillefer Lafon, Montreal

I started talking to Claudia and Youssef in 2020 for their wedding. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic their wedding was postponed to 2021. The initial plan was to have the wedding at Esterel where the couple got engaged. But with the change of plans, they started to look for another venue. Carmen Luk (Devoted to You) found Château Taillefer Lafon for the couple. This romantic venue is a winery located north of the city of Montreal. Château Taillefer Lafon is the first vineyard in Quebec authorized to use the “Château” appellation that is traditionally reserved for distinctive European vineyards. "The beautiful venue and Claudia's wedding dress became the inspiration of the wedding design. Taking the original wedding colour palette from a fall wedding as a start, we toned down the maroons and amplified the blush and cream colors to bring out the summer vibes (keeping the maroon as an accent). Claudia wanted to keep a romantic ambiance with a touch of a fairytale vibe at the wedding. We incorporated a lot of seasonal blooms throughout the design" says Carmen Luk (Devoted to You).

The most shocking thing about this wedding was getting an email from Youssef a week before their wedding that he injured his leg and his leg's in a cast. This really made things challenging for me. Because he could not walk. We managed to hide his leg during the photo session just to make sure this lovely couple could get some beautiful photos. I believe we managed that pretty well.

The cocktail hour was at the backyard of the venue with the incredible vineyard views. Then the guests moved to the terrace for the reception. The wedding guest list was relatively small due to pandemic but the couple had some many viewers online who could not attend to the wedding. Near or far, everyone had a taste of this unforgettable wedding at Le Château Taillefer Lafon.
